The Family Club of Nigeria is holding the investiture of its 2014 Nigeria Couple of the Year Award on November 15, in Ibadan, Oyo State
EMIOLA Adesina, a veteran Sports administrator and his wife of more than 50 years Oluwafunmilayo, the proprietor of the prestigious Subuola Memorial Group of Schools are the Nigeria Couple of the Year 2014. The award which is given by the Family Club of Nigeria will be conferred on them on November 15, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Dignitaries from all over Nigeria are expected at the investiture ceremony. They include Kola Daisi, a renowned industrialist who will chair the occasion, Governor Abiola Ajimobi and the Oyo First Lady as special guests of honour while the speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly is expected to add colour to the star studded event. Odugade Odulana, Olubadan of Ibadan, is the royal father of the day.
According to a release jointly signed by Oluwole Osonubi, National President, Family Club of Nigeria and Foluso Lasaki, general secretary, and made the Family Club of Nigeria, otherwise known as the Elite Club of Ibadan was founded 35 years ago by friendly professionals, academics and industrialists with their wives and children enrolled as members. A non-governmental socio-cultural association, the Club is dedicated to the propagation, promotion and enhancement of family values and the sustenance of high moral and ethical essentials of the sacred institution of marriage.
Members of the club include professors, pharmacists, educationists, journalists, engineers and industrialists. The club which had Winston Banigo, Lani Sogbetun, Tunji Amole as successive chairmen in its early years, remains one of the biggest charity organisations in Nigeria with branches and chapters all over the world.
