Nigeria ready for ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Division Two Qualifiers

NIGERIA Cricket Federation (NCF) has promised to provide participants with a befiting environment for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Division Two Qualifiers.

Ogbonnaya Okogeri, Chairman of NCF’s Local Organising Committee (LOC), told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja that everything had been put in place to host the tournament.

NAN reports that Nigeria will host the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Africa Division Two Qualifiers at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja from Friday to Oct. 9.

Okogeri said two pitches have been perfectly put in place for the tournament to take place.

“The pitches are ready for the tournament, while the perimeter fencing, the sight screen and the restroom are all set for use.

“We have been working round the clock, day and night, to make sure that everything is ready before the commencement of the competition.

“I can assure that Nigeria will give the world a lovely tournament,” he said.

NAN reports that Rwanda, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Mozambique, Botswana, Ghana and hosts Nigeria will participate in the Qualifiers.(NAN)
