THE Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Hameed Ali, says Nigeria has been given the chance to host Global Porous Border Conference.

He disclosed this yesterday to members of the House of Representatives Committee on Customs and Excise led by its chairman, Leke Abejide.

Ali said the conference would be held between January and February next year.

Earlier, Abejide said his committee embarked on the oversight function to assess the operations of the Nigeria Customs Service in line with their approved budgetary provisions.
