Nigerian Army approves new postings, appointments of senior officers

The Nigerian Army announces change in nomenclatures of some its senior officers
THE Nigerian Army on Sunday, February 10, 2019, released the postings and appointments of some of its senior officers. Those affected by the include, NJ Okah, a brigadier general, who has been posted from Nigerian Army Institute of Technology and Environmental Studies, NAITES, to Army Headquarters Department of Army Logistics and appointed acting director of Engineering Services; MA Masanawa, a brigadier general, who moved from Army Headquarters, Department of Army Policy and Plans to the ACADA and appointed commander, while HT Wesley, a brigadier general, was posted from Headquarters Nigerian Army Ordinance Corps to Army Headquarters Department of Army Logistics as the director Clothing and Store.
Others include, erstwhile HG Tafida, a brigadier general of the Nigerian Army Central Workshop, Rigachukwu posted to the Army Headquarters Department of Army Logistics and appointed director, Engineering and Maintenance; BA Ilori, a brigadier general, moved to the Army Headquarters Department of Army Policy and Plans and appointed deputy director, Equipment Procurement.
In the same process AA Adereti, a brigadier general, has been posted to the National Defence College and appointed directing staff while O Nwachukwu, a colonel, from Headquarters Theatre Command Operation Lafiya Dole, was moved to the Defence Headquarters and appointed acting director Defence Information.
Similarly, S Musa, a colonel, has been posted to the Directorate of Army Public Relations and appointed acting director Army Public Relations Nigerian Army while AA Yusuf, a colonel, has been appointed deputy director Public Relations 82 Division Nigerian Army. AD Isa, a colonel, was posted to the Theatre Command Operation Lafiya Dole and appointed deputy director, Army Public Relations while the new acting corps commander, Nigerian Army Medical Corps is S Adama colonel.
The rest of officers affected by the new development include, OG Olaniyi, a colonel, who was posted from the Nigerian Army School of Music to Nigerian Army Band Corps and appointed acting director, Army Band; EI Okoro, a colonel; and I P Bindul, a colonel, are posted to the Army War College Nigeria as directing staff, amongst others.
