NigeriaTravelSmart, an online publication is to be launched next week
AN online publication called NigerianTravelSmart and dedicated to the travel industry will be launched next week. According to Simon Tumba, its publisher and chief executive officer, the publication is initiated because of the gap him and his committed team noticed in the market. He expressed the hope that they will provide the necessary information that will hopefully catalyse this industry to reach it’s potentials.
“This website will be real time, covering hotels, schedule and non-schedule airlines, airports, government aviation agencies, consumers, tourism and the whole gamut of travel. There’re some innovativeness we are adding to our site; like the monthly punctuality rating of local airlines. We hope this will put some burden on our airlines to be more responsive to their schedules. We also have the i-Complain section where travelers can file customer service complains for us to pass unto the NCAA Consumer Protection Directorate,” Tumba said
The mission of the company is to transfuse responsible journalism, with the aim of shaping a strong virile Nigerian travel industry for the pride of all stakeholders. The www.nigeriatravelsmart.com will educate its readers about the travel industry and the standard expected of stakeholders, especially service providers and policy makers. It will also support those who want to implement responsible and responsive policies to make travel industry a pride for all stakeholders and unearth policies in line with global standards, and challenge service providers and policy makers to meet these standards.
The core values of www.nigeriatravelsmart.com are based on high level of corporate governance, integrity, excellence, respect and fairness towards all stakeholders. “Certainly, we can’t achieve these objectives without your help and support. We hope you’ll support us to make this venture a reality for the development of this important sector. We may soon be knocking on your doors,” Tumba said.
