NIMASA DG Commiserate with Nigeria Police over Death of AIG

DAKUKU Peterside, director general of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, has commiserated with Ibrahim Idris, inspector general of Police; the immediate family and the entire Police Force on the demise of Pius Imue, assistant inspector general of Police, AIG, in charge of maritime command.
The NIMASA DG, who expressed shock at the death of Imue ,described him as a fine officer who was dedicated to the force and particularly to issues relating to safety and security in the Lagos port area.
In his condolence message, Peterside said: “AIG Pius brought to bear his expertise in the sector and was a rallying point for all Stakeholders in the industry.”
He further said that Imue showed professionalism and expertise in fighting crime in the country; and “we would like to extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to you, your team and the entire Nigeria Police fraternity at this trying moment. We also pray that God Almighty will comfort his immediate family.”
NIMASA boss used the opportunity to assure the IGP that the agency would continue to support and partner the maritime arm of the Nigeria Police Force and the entire force towards a safer and secured maritime domain.
