NiMet predicts cloudy, sunny weather for Thursday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy and sunny weather conditions with prospects of scattered thunderstorms over most part of Nigeria on Thursday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Wednesday, in Abuja, predicted partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over the central cities during the forecast period.
It added that the region would have day and night temperatures in the ranges of 28 to 33 and 16 to 23 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The agency predicted that the Northern States would experience sunny conditions throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures of 37 to 40 and 16 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, Southern States will experience thunderstorms over places like Awka, Owerri, Abakaliki, Umuahia, Ikom and Port-Harcourt in the morning hours with cloudy conditions over the rest of the region.
“In the afternoon and evening period, there are chances of scattered thunderstorms over the coasts and some parts of the inland with day and night temperatures of 27 to 31 and 21 to 23 degrees Celsius, respectively.
“Sunny conditions are expected over the northern cities, partly cloudy conditions over the central states and scattered thunderstorms over the southern cities in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
