NIPR Delta Executives Pay Courtesy Visit to the DG Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency

THE Executive members of Delta State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), led by its Chairman, Mr. Godfrey C. Osakwe and in the company of a Council Member of the governing body of NIPR, Mrs. Thelma Okoh paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA), Chief Patrick Ukah, in his office in Asaba, to discuss the possible ways of effective and efficient collaboration that will benefit both parties.
The Chairman, Mr. Osakwe presented two proposals for collaboration between the DSCTDA and NIPR to further engender good governance in Delta State in our area of focus, particularly on environmental responsibilities and best practices.
The Diamond Anniversary Walk for Economic Development and Green Nigeria Initiative with tree planting exercise to commemorate NIPR sixtieth (60th) Anniversary scheduled to run concurrently in the State Capitals in Nigeria from June 1st , 2024 was discussed, in addition to how the State Chapter can leverage on emerging opportunities for development.
Osakwe commended Chief Ukah for his efforts towards the reorganisation of Delta State Chapter of NIPR, which started in 2017. “As the pioneer Chairman of the rebirth NIPR Delta State, your presence and advice will always be of immense value and motivation for PR professionals in Delta State and Nigeria in general”. Osakwe stated.
Responding, the DG, Chief Ukah, welcomed the EXCO members and commended the Chairman of the State Chapter of NIPR for the efforts to keep the Institute afloat despite the obvious challenges. He promised to continue to give the State Chapter the needed support needed to achieve its objectives.
