THE Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Zamfara has decorated 31 newly promoted officers in the state with their ranks.

NIS Controller in the state, Adamu Balarabe, told newsmen in Gusau on Thursday that the officers were successful in the 2021 promotion and upgrading exercise.

He said that the officers’ promotion was contained in a letter dated Aug. 8, 2022 with reference number, NIS/S/1136/VOL. T4.

Balarabe urged the promoted officers to see their elevation as a call for greater service delivery.

”Your career elevation means that you have to do more in the service of the nation. Remember that to whom much is given, much is expected.

”You have to work harder to justify the confidence reposed in you. We intend to see more commitment and dedication,” he said.

The controller said that the security situation in Zamfara saddled the service with the duty to be more proactive. (NAN)
