NIS promotes, decorates 346 officers in Kwara

THE Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has promoted and decorated 346 officers in the Kwara Command.
Mrs Iyabode Okuwa-Idris, Comptroller, NIS, Kwara Command, during the exercise on Wednesday in Ilorin, urged the new officers to be active and diligent in their service to the nation
According to Okuwa-Idris, the promotion is a sign of hard work and the grace of Almighty God, because our efforts are always crowned by both God and man.
“I urge all the newly promoted officers to be super active and put more effort in their official duty to the service and the nation.
“To whom much is given, much is expected, so I want you all to be very serious with your work and make the country great.
“Those that could not make it to the next position should be more productive and work hard for more recommendations.
“All the officers should do their best in their beats, serve the public well and should always be ready to be good ambassadors of the service,” the comptroller said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 346 promoted officers include 152 Inspector Assistants 3 (IA3); five Assistant Inspector of Immigration (AII); and 55 Inspector of Immigration (II).
Also, 25 Assistant Superintendent of Immigration 2 (ASI 2); 43 Assistant Superintendent of Immigration 1 (ASI1) and 57 Deputy Superintendent of Immigration (DSI)
Others are five Superintendent of Immigration (SI); two Comptroller Superintendent of Immigration (CSI); one Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (ACI) and one Deputy Comptroller of Immigration (DCI). (NAN)
