Nnewi indigenes in US initiate e-Library project

NNEWI indigenes in United State, NUSA, have laid a foundation for e-Library building at Okwueze, Uruagu Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area.

The foundation stone for the library was laid by Igwe K. O. N. Orizu III, who was joined by other traditional rulers from Uruagu, Umudim and Nnewichi.

Udemezue, the president-general, commended NUSA for their “think-home’’ philosophy and appealed to other Nnewi indigenes in different parts of the world to emulate the patriotic zeal of NUSA.

Ikechukwu Ofomata, the leaders of NUSA, and Ikechukwu Mbelu expressed gratitude to Igwe Orizu and Nnewi indigenes for allowing them to contribute their quota toward the development of their town.

On the N20 million, community choose your project initiative, by the state government, the president-general gave the assurance that the project would be completed by August.

“A body has been set to monitor ongoing and abandoned state or federal government projects in the town and report to appropriate government officials,” he added.
