Nnewi Timber Dealers Association appeal to government for fire fighting trucks

Chukwunonso Paul Nnetu Chairman, Nnewi Timber Dealers Association, has appealed to Anambra State Government to provide the association with fire-fighting trucks ahead of the upcoming dry season.

Nnetu, in an interview at Nnewi commended Government for prompt response to their distress call during last year’s fire disaster at the Timber Market.

The chairman called on government to come to their aid by equipping them with fire fighting trucks to be stationed permanently at the market.

“We are also happy that government rehabilitated the timber market road and provided borehole in markets,’’ he said, pleading for rebuilding of roads within the Nnewi Main Market.

Commenting on his second tenure, the chairman said he was out to carry every member of the association along, for more successes.

He pledged that the association would obey the market rules, cooperate with the Anambra State Market Association and Nnewi Traders Association.
