“Your passion, dedication, and talent have brought immense pride to Nigeria. Continue to soar and may your journey be filled with many more victories,” he prayed.
Olumide Oyedeji, the former NBA star, player and Member of the NBBF, said that Nigeria’s victory was propelled by the National team’s defeat of Senegal in the group qualifying match held in Belgium.
According to him, the group comprised the U.S., Belgium and Senegal.
Babs Ogunade, the Vice President of NBBF, also assured the team would do all within its powers to have a strong showing at the Olympic Games in Paris.
The News Agency of Nigeria NAN reports that D’Tigresses had booked a place after Belgium defeated Senegal on Friday at the ongoing 2024 Olympics qualification tournament in Belgium.
D’Tigress had earlier lost to the US 100-46 in their second game at the competition, but favourable results in the other group matches qualified the team for the Paris showdown.(NAN)
