North West zone to hold cricket clinic in Kaduna

THE Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, North West Zone, on Friday said it would hold a one-day Coaching Clinic on Development of Cricket on July 5, in Kaduna.
In statement signed by Abdullahi Idris, the Zonal Coordinator North West, it said the clinic was in collaboration with Kaduna State Ministry of Sports Development.
“We have concluded arrangements in collaboration with the Kaduna State Ministry of Sports Development and the Cricket Association to hold a one-day clinic to develop the sport at the grassroots.
“The clinic is targeted at primary and secondary schools within Kaduna and is tagged, “Catch Them Young.”
Idris said that the organisers would expect large number of participants.
The zonal coordinators, however, called on participants to adhere strictly to all COVID-19 protocols.
“We expect all participants to ensure strict compliance to COVID-19 protocols as handed down by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) by use of facemasks, hand sanitisers and others,” he said.(NAN)
