NPFL: Wikki Tourists FC empowers players, technical crew on good conduct

THE management of Wikki Tourists Football Club (FC) of Bauchi State has empowered players, technical crew, staff and supporters on good conduct and football rules ahead of the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Mr Balarabe Douglas, Chairman of the Wikki Tourists FC, while speaking at the one-day seminar on Friday in Bauchi, said the seminar was to acquaint stakeholders on good conduct.

He said the seminar was aimed at and for the players and other stakeholders to acquaint themselves with some of the changes taking place in football.

“To also learn the New Football rules and laws of the game ahead of the kick off of the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League Season.”

Mrs Felicia Okugba, a former referee, in her presentation emphasised on good behaviour and conduct by players and referees on duties. 

Felicia also, the  Zonal Coordinator for North Central of referees, noted that dangers of unruly behaviour could be detrimental to clubs.

On his part, Mr Kabiru Dogo, the Technical Adviser of Wikki Tourists FC, expressed appreciation to the management of the club for organising the seminar and appreciated the guest lecturer for her insightful lecture.

The News Agency reports that the 2022/23 NPFL Season is scheduled for Jan. 8, between Wikki Tourists FC and Niger Tornadoes at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium (ATBS), Bauchi. (NAN)
