THE Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, says it is on the trail of those who kidnapped the wife of one of its top personnel on Wednesday.

The command Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Jerry Victor gave the assurance in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lafia.

He said that the NSCDC state Commandant, Abbas Bappa-Muhammed, had deployed personnel to track the kidnappers and rescue the victim unhurt.

The gunmen broke into the residence of the Head of NSCDC  Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad, Apollos Dandaura in Lafia and abducted his wife.

NAN gathered that the gunmen took away the woman from her residence at about 8:30pm.

They also shot the younger brother to the husband, who was later rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

The PRO assured that the perpetrators would be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.

Victor appealed to members of the public to provide useful  information to fast track the arrest of the abductors and other criminals in the state. (NAN).
