NUJ FCT council, Chinese journalists T-Tennis tournament scheduld for Saturday

THE second edition of the NUJ FCT Council and Chinese journalists table tennis tournament is set to take place on Saturday July 14 at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Wuse, Abuja.

In a statement he issued on Wednesday, Secretary of the council, Rafat Salami, said two two tennis tables had been provided council’s secretariat in Utako, to enable members train ahead of the event.

“All chapels of the council are advised to forward to the secretariat, list of  those who will participate in the tournament, while advising chapel leaders to mobilise members to come and cheer up their players,” he said.

According to him, the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture chapel, who are the defending champions, as well as the NTA and News Agency of Nigeria, who are first and second runners up respectively, will have an opportunity to defend their trophies.

Salami also urged other chapels to make effort to dislodge the defending champions.
