SUNSHINE Queens FC of Akure has expressed readiness to take all three points against Ibom Angels in Wednesday’s Match Day 6 fixture of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).

The first Assistant Coach of the team, Niyi John, expressed the hope in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Akure.

John said the team would not allow their away victory against Abia Angels in the Match Day 5 fixture to distract them from the goals for the season.

NAN reports that Sunshine Queens Seun Fakunle’s 33rd-minute goal was enough to secure the team’s first away win of the season in Umuahia.

“We are ready for this encounter, we know our opponents have quality players, but I am sure and confident of victory.

“Our players are in good shape and I believe victory will be ours at the end of the game,” he said.

NAN also reports that Sunshine Queens are now 7th on the NWFL’s log with seven points from five matches.
