THE National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has commended the Police Command in Enugu for deploying result-oriented and proactive policing approach in the state.
The new Coordinator of NYSC in Enugu, Mr Stephen Dewan, gave the commendation on Tuesday when he led his management team on a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Mr Suleiman Balarabe, in Enugu.
Dewan noted that the relentless effort in crime prevention by officers and men of the command had made the state one of the most peaceful states in the country.
According to him, I am here in the command to also commend the commissioner of police and the entire command on their continual partnership and security of Corps members.
““I earnestly appeal that same cooperation given to my predecessor by the command should continue with me as the new coordinator of the scheme,’’ he appealed.
Responding, Balarabe welcomed the new NYSC boss and his entourage to the command.
He described the relationship between the two organisations as that of the two sides of the coin which cannot be separated.
“I will assure you that the command will continue to partner and work together with the NYSC for a safe and secured environment in the state,’’ he said.
