Dr. Femi Majekodunmi, an ally of former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has predicted that Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s adopted political party; Allied Peoples Movement will lose the March 9 governorship election in the state.

Majekodunmi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the State also predicted the same fate for  the African Democratic Congress and Social Democratic Party in the coming election in the state .

He stated this while speaking at an interactive session with newsmen on Saturday  in Abeokuta, the state capital.

He claimed that there are only two political parties, APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, who mattered in the build-up to next Saturday’s election.

He, however, predicted that the APC governorship candidate,  Dapo Abiodun and all APC candidates for the state House of Assembly would win the March 9 elections.

According to him, the results of last week’s Presidential and National Assembly elections have shown that only the APC and PDP are at the forefront of the race .

He noted, “The other parties are either helplessly weak or actually dead as they cannot fly again nationally and in Ogun state in particular.

“It is now clear that we have only two political parties left in the race in our dear state, the APC and PDP, with the other parties, African Democratic Congress, Action Democratic Party, Allied Progressives Movement, Social Democratic Party, among others not flying at all”.
