Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo State, has again put the final nail of defeat on the All Progressives Congress, APC,  at the Supreme Court on Friday, May 28.

Realnews reports that the court has dismissed the appeal filed by the  APC, challenging the academic qualification of Obaseki.

Giving their ruling on the case, the court stated that APC and Edobor Williams, the appellants did not prove their case beyond reasonable doubt, adding that they failed woefully to prove their case and did not provide any disclaimer from the institution that issued certificate that it was fake.

The Supreme Court upheld the Court of Appeal ruling on March 18, 2021, which affirmed the January 9, 2021, judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja, upholding the authenticity of the first degree certificate in Classics issued to Obaseki by the University of Ibadan.
