Obateru becomes NNPC GM, Group Public Affairs Division

THE Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, has appointed Kehinde Obateru as the new Group general manager, Group Public Affairs Division.

Obateru replaces Ndu Ughamadu who retired from the position in September 2019 with Samson Makoji acting in his place.

Realnews reports that Makoji has returned to his position as the general manager, External Relations.

Also, Gboyega Bello, has now been promoted as general manager to take over from Obateru in the London Office of the corporation from where Obateru was redeployed to the headquarters of NNPC.

The NNPC has also disengaged more than 400 staff nationwide with effect from March 12.

The disengagement affected mainly staff who were scheduled to retire between now and 2022, while it also engaged some staff and promoted others, who are scheduled to resume Thursday.
