Obiano inaugurates Re-election Campaign Team

VICTOR Umeh, former national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, is to lead the re-election campaign team of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra in the Nov. 18, governorship poll in the state.

Umeh, who was appointed the director-general of the campaign team, was inaugurated along with other members of the team including Nkem Okeke, deputy governor of Anambra, members of the National Working Committee of APGA, Willie Obiano Support Group, APGA Youth and Women wings in Awka, on Tuesday, August 2.

The governor urged members of the team to be dedicated and go all out to mobilise the people for APGA and his administration, adding that hespecially selected them to rely on their strategies to make progress in the campaigns.

He advised them not to be bothered by the crisis in the leadership of APGA as the matter had been settled by the courts.

Responding, Umeh pledged the determination of members of the team to ensure the governor is re-elected, stressing that Obiano had done well and deserved a second term.

He said the team will seriously mobilise the grassroots by spreading the information on the good works of the governor.
