Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has added yet another feather to his growing cap, with the latest being Award for good governance from Radio Nigeria.

The Award was that of “the Best Governor for Good Governance’’ was handed down by the management of the Federal Radio Corporation, FRCN, when one of its subsidiaries, Purity FM, located at Awka, the Anambra State Capital, marked its 13th year Anniversary of operation.

They used opportunity of the anniversary to decorate the governor who was represented at the event by Tony Nezianya, his special assistant on Media.

Nezianya, who received the award on Monday, November 26, handed it over the trophy to C. Don Adinuba, the commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment for onward transmission to the governor.

According to Adinuba, the award is the sixth within the last six weeks.

He noted that the latest from Radio Nigeria was very valuable because “it is coming from organisation controlled by a rival political party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).

“They looked beyond party lines to identify a performing governor that merits reward. There is always a reward for hard work.’’
