YOUTHS of Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State have been enjoined to ensure they participate in the voting exercise during November 18 Gubernatorial Election.
Chike Ekwughe, a youth leader, Obizi Youths Association, said this during the executive committee meeting of the association held recently in Awka.
Ekwughe, who said that the watchword of the association was `Peace and Progress’, added that the present administration led by Governor Willie Obiano had paved way for peace and progress in the state.
He said that the association was interested in ensuring that the person that should govern the state over the next four years will also promote peace and progress, so that ‘Ndi Anambra’ will continue to be happy.
“And that person that has been tried, tested and trusted is no other person than Gov. Willie Obiano,” the leader noted.
According to Ekwughe, the executive and members of Obizi Youths Association are solidly behind the governor to continue his leadership of the state.
“We expect him to take the state to another level.’’
He, however, urged all youths in Awka South to ensure they devote time to go and vote on Nov. 18, in exercise of their franchise and vote in Obiano for continuity.
