VICTOR Ochei, former speaker of the fifth Delta State House of Assembly, has expressed utter shock and grief over the sudden death of Tim Owhofere, majority leader of the current Delta State House of Assembly.

He made the statement in his condolence message to the Delta State House of Assembly and the Isoko North Constituency which the late lawmaker represented.

“It is with utter shock and great sense of loss that I received the news of  Hon(Barr) Tim(TKO) Owhofere’s sudden death. As debutante at the Delta State House of Assembly in 2007, the deceased  legislator was a fast learner, an easy-going, result driven, silent and positive  force, who deployed tact and wisdom in contributing immensely to the growth of Delta state legislature and over-sighting of the executive arm .

He further averred that “As painful as Hon Owhofere’s death is, his colleagues, constituents and acolytes should draw consolation from the fact that the late politician has trod the way of all mortals to eternity”.

While praying the Almighty God to give the deceased’s family, colleagues and Isoko North constituents strength of mind to contain this loss, he also prayed for late Owhofere’s departed soul to find rest in the Lord’s domain, according to a statement by Nkem Osu, chief press secretary Ochei, which was made available to Realnews on Friday, January 29.
