Ogun announces second batch of appointments into non-statutory boards

THE Ogun Government on Thursday in Abeokuta released more names of non-statutory members appointed by Gov. Dapo Abiodun to run four of its agencies.

Mr Lekan Adeniran, the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the governor, in a statement listed the agencies to include Gateway Trading Company and Food Crops Marketing Board.

Others are the Ogun State Parks and Gardens and Ogun State Signage and Advertising Agency.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the appointments are the second to be made by the governor, after the ones which included the Ogun Waste Management Authority (OGWAMA).

The first batch had also included those of Ogun State Agricultural and Multipurpose Credit Agency (OSAMCA), Plantgate Limited and the Ogun State Alternative Medicine Board (OGAMB).

According to Adeniran, Yomi Odunowo is to head the board of Gateway Trading Company as chairman.

Other members of the board are Elder Tajudeen Alao, Chief Dele Oderinde, Mr. Vittu Tagbe Mechack, Disu Azeez and Adeleye Olugbenga.

Food Crops Marketing Board has Subair Kamilat as chairman, with Akorede Idowu, Akaosi Gbeleyi, Mr. Ogunade Bashiru, Hon. Yusuf Soyemi and Awoderu Omoyemi as the other members.

Ogun State Parks and Gardens has 20 members, with Lukman Adunmo as chairman, with the other members spread across the local government areas (LGAs) of the state.

They include Imam Moruf Adekunle, Olanrewaju Samod, Hon. Ogidan Abayomi, Mr. Abiodun Ogunro, Hon. Adeyemi Adekunle, Hon. Sansa Abayomi and Mrs. Ayoola Oyeniyi.

Others are Adetona Olusola, Taiwo Obanla, Alhaji Wale Soremi, Ogundeyi Olufunsho, Oluwafemi Onanuga, Olaolu Isiaka, Kabiru Adeosun and Adesanya Joseph.

Ogun State Signage and Advertising Agency has Wale Soremi as chairman, with Ogunbanjo Abolore, Adeoye Alani, Onanuga Olufemi, and Adeyemi Olayiga as the other members.(NAN)
