THE Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Ebonyi chapter, has urged National Assembly (NASS) members from the state to make it proud by being shining examples at the assembly.

The State President of the Igbo apex socio-cultural organisation, Dr Peter Mbam, gave the urge in a statement he personally signed and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Abakaliki.

Mbam, in the statement, urged the NASS members to use the spirit of hard work which Ebonyi people are known for to excel in their endeavours.

“You are men of integrity and honour which assures the state of credible representation at both chambers of the National assembly.

“You should be assured of our total support as we expect you to stand tall in the discharge of your duties,” the statement read.

The state president of the organisation specifically hailed the immediate past governor of the state, Chief David Umahi, on his inauguration as a senator.

“Your outstanding leadership for eight years led to the accomplishment of great things in the state,” the statement read. (NAN)
