MOTORCYCLE operators have blocked off Boundary Road, a street that separates Abuja from Nasarawa state, to protest the death of a colleague.
Unidentified yet, the dead motorcycle operator was killed in a hit-and-run on Sunday, it’s been said.
Tuesday morning, motorcycle operators vowed not to work, conveying passengers to Nyanya-Abuja expressway.
They also stopped every working motorcycle, deflating tyres.
Fights have erupted in the aftermath after they deflated the tyres of a cycle owner on his way to work.
Their protest and blockade are expected to go as far as Masaka, several kilometres off Abuja’s border with Nasarawa State. – Daily Trust/News Express
