Okonjo-Iweala Disowns Fake Audio Recording of Her Voice

NGOZI Okonjo-Iweala, former finance minister in Nigeria has disclaimed a fake recording circulating in some online media purporting to be her.
A statement made available to Realnews today by Paul Nwabiukwu, media aide to Okonjo-Iweala, stated that their attention was to an audio recording of a woman pretending to be Okonjo-Iweala which has been circulating on various online and other platforms.
“In the contrived audio, the impostor makes several claims and expresses certain views which have absolutely nothing to do with Dr Okonjo-Iweala.
“Anyone familiar with the former Finance Minister can confirm that the voice, the diction and the opinions are not hers.
“The Nigerian public and media should take note and avoid being deceived by this inept and ridiculous gimmick. Thank you,” the stated said.
