The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the first coronation anniversary of the royal father, who was crowned on Aug. 21, 2021 at Ode-Itsekiri commenced on Wednesday with various activities and climaxed on Sunday.

Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, former National President of the Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Founder, the Word of Life Bible Church, delivered the sermon at the thanksgiving service.

In his sermon, Oritsejafor underscored the importance of thanksgiving, saying that it opens the gate to more blessings.

Oritsejafor congratulated Atuwatse 111 on his first coronation anniversary and urged him to continue to lean on God for divine direction to take Warri to an enviable height.

The clergyman said Warri had the potentials of becoming the Dubai of Africa,  if stakeholders and governments  at all levels contributed to the peace and overall development of the city.

“Thanksgiving opens the gate for more blessings, it brings you into the presence of God for divine favour through which, God flavours our labour.

“If you are not greatful, you will become a great fool. We must learn to emphasise the importance of thanksgiving in our daily life,” he said.

Oritsejafor called for a paradigm shift in the orientation of the youth in the society towards hard work, which according to him is a springboard for sustainable success in life. (NAN)
