THE All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has lauded the Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-led administration for its investment in security, saying it is one of the most valuable achievements of the administration.

Commending the state government in a statement in Akure on Tuesday, Mr Alex Kalejaye, the party’s state Publicity Secretary, described effective security as a prerequisite for a prosperous society.

“The party views as commendable the second batch of Amotekun recruits and the additional 20 new operational vehicles for effective coverage of the 18 local government areas.

“The party observes that enhancement of security measures in the Sunshine State has allayed fears among the residents and prospective investors.

“Ondo APC argues that security of lives and property of the people has no alternative,” it read.

According to the statement, no amount of money and efforts by any government can be considered outrageous for safety and well-being of the citizenry.

Adding that security is too important to be left entirely alone for government, the party called on individuals and corporate bodies to generously support the initiative.

The statement, however, enjoined the corps to ensure proper usage and maintenance of the operational vehicles and to always make good their pledge to work for the state in all sincerity. (NAN)
