The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that rainstorm caused by downpour on Wednesday, had destroyed the administrative section housing the account department and pavilion meant for spectators at the sports council.

Yusuf-Ogunleye gave the assurance while speaking with newsmen at the Ondo State Sports Complex on Friday in Akure.

He said that government will not waste time to repair the damaged roof of the administrative section and pavilion.

“I am here to assess the situation. The general manager called and hinted me this morning about the rainstorm as a result of heavy rainfall.

“This is a serious matter, nevertheless, government will not shy away from its responsibility and that is why I’m here now to assess the situation.

“I will immediately brief the governor about the situation, I can assure you that we are going to move swiftly in repairing the damaged section of the council.

“The rainstorm affected nearly all the structure, you can see the main hall. The administrative section that houses the account department, even the pavilion where spectators sit to watch matches was not spared.

“The League is still ongoing, and we have home matches here , we are up to the task, the place will be given a face-lift without delay,” he said.

Yusuf-Ogunleye urged workers not to be deterred by the incident and continue to give their best to achieve better results.
