FORMER Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue  has commiserated with Donald Duke, former Governor of Cross River, over the death of  his mother, Mrs Genevieve Duke.

The condolence message is contained in a statement issued in Makurdi by Ortom’s Media Aide, Mr Terver Akase, and made available to newsmen on Monday.

Akase said that Ortom described the deceased as a woman of great virtue, whose son had made indelible contributions to the development of his state in particular, and the country at large.

“Ortom said that losing a loved one, such as a parent, could be a devastating experience,  no matter how long the person lived.

The former Benue governor reportedly  prayed that God should grant the deceased eternal rest and fortitude to her family to bear the loss. (NAN)
