MR Aderemi Oseni, House of Representatives member representing Ido/Ibarapa-East, has empowered members of the Blacksmith, Welder, Iron benders and Metal Technicians Association (BWIAN), Oyo chapter, with equipment worth N250 million.

The event, held at Bembo Game Village, Apata, Ibadan, marked the first anniversary of BWIAN’s executives in Oyo State.

Mr Munirudeen Adegoke, BWIAN’s governor, presented Oseni with an award certificate as Governor-General of BWIAN in Oyo State.

Oseni distributed equipment, including grinders and generators valued at N100 million, to various members.

He also inaugurated a N50 million cash initiative to establish a Cooperative Society for the association.

In his speech, Oseni emphasised the need to reduce poverty in Oyo State by supporting youths in their chosen careers.

He noted that President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda aimed to transform Nigeria, encouraging lawmakers to support their constituents.

Adegoke thanked Oseni for the empowerment and urged other Oyo State political office holders to follow his example in giving back to the electorate.

He reminded them that they would return to the electorate during future elections.(NAN)
