Osinbajo approves N1.6bn for Flood Victims in 15 States

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has approved the sum of N1.6 billion as intervention fund to15 states ravaged by flood. The states include Edo, Sokoto, Ekiti, Osun, Akwa Ibom, Kebbi, Niger, Kwara, Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia, Oyo, Lagos, Plateau and Bayelsa.
The approval was given at the end of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting in Abuja on Wednesday, July 12.
Femi Adesina, special adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari told journalists after the FEC meeting that the ministry of finance has been directed to release the intervention fund directly to the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, for immediate disbursement.
