Dapo Ademola- Adesina, United States-trained financial analyst and real estate entrepreneur,  on Monday outlined his blueprint if elected into the House of Representatives in the 2019 general elections.

Among his plans include urgently setting in motion the necessary machinery to address the imminent security threats to the nation including the menace of Fulani herdsmen and championing the demand for the restructuring of Nigeria which, according to him, was long overdue.

Adesina studied Architecture at the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, Ile-Ife, and later proceeded to the United States of America to obtain another Bachelors and MBA degrees in Finance at the DePaul University.

He is currently the president of Shimarch Group of Companies and also the executive secretary of Prof. Ademola Adesina Memorial Foundation.

Adesina, popularly called Dapooza, an indigene of Igbajo in Boluwaduro Local Government Area of Osun State is seeking election into the Federal House of representative of Nigeria in Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Illa constituency under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2019.

He said, “Nigeria is long overdue for restructuring. Specifically issues of fairness, justice and equity are very necessary areas that need to be re-addressed to reduce conflict and agitation, thereby encouraging a healthy completion among the federating states.

“When elected  by the grace of God and as a member of the Federal House of Representatives, I and my colleagues would urgently set in motion the necessary machinery to address the imminent security threats  to the nation including the Fulani herdmen.

“My going into politics is an opportunity to serve my constituents and by extension the nation of Nigeria at large, Secondly it is an opportunity to liberate my people from maladministration and mis- governance which has evidently manifested in the educational, socio-economic and the basic standard of living.

“Finally, my venture into politics is to continue the good work of  my late father, Prof Shim Ademola Adesina (former Minister of State for Agriculture) of blessed memory and sustain his legacy.

“Having said all of this, there’s urgent need for a  vibrant and egalitarian personality that is driven by passion and pragmatic result. Also, there is also the need for a youth personality with reasonable exposure and requisite knowledge of modern day politics.”
