THE Osun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has attributed the success recorded in the presidential campaigns of the party held in Osogbo on Wednesday to people’s love for the State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke and presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar.
The PDP on Wednesday held it’s presidential campaign rally at the popular Freedom Park Osogbo, recording massive turnout.
A statement by PDP caretaker committee chairman, Akindele Adekunle, shortly after the well attended rally, commended leaders and members of PDP in the state for leading the way in the impressive turnout at the hitch free presidential rally.
Akindele was also full of praises for the people of Osun State for trooping out en masse to welcome Atiku Abubakar, his wife, Titi Abubakar as well as members of his team to Osun State.
The chairman also commended Iyorchia Ayu led national working committee, PDP Governors and other critical stakeholders for standing by the candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar who he described as the most suitably experienced hand among all the presidential candidates for the February 25 general elections.
“Let me make it clear that Osun State is the heartbeat of PDP in the southwest and we are poised to live our leadership burden to shoulder the responsibility of breathing life into the party in the region. The electoral deficit being orchestrated by political undertakers in whatever guise will not see light of the day because Osun will never betray the cause of the party”
“There’s no gainsaying that Nigeria is badly hemorrhaging and the only feasible surgeon in sight at this time is the PDP Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar”, Akindele emphasized.
The party also enjoined electorate in the state not to be swayed by mundane emotions of sectional politics, but should rather be persuaded by the urgency of the need to restore dignity of man in Nigeria, which according to Akindele, has been severely eroded by the outgoing government of APC.
