THE Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, has felicitated with pupils in the state as they celebrated children’s day, on Monday.

In a statement he signed in Ibadan, Adeniran stressed that children, both in public and private schools deserve the best form of education as they are the most vital assets of the state.

Adeniran stated that the Oyo State Government has put in place deliberate policies to encourage basic education for children, especially in the face of the global economic meltdown.

“Our sweat for our children today is a promise for a better tomorrow,” he said.

Adeniran, an educationist, added that stakeholders must of necessity invest in children to reap the benefits of a rapid national growth.

He wished Nigerian children, especially pupils in public basic schools across the state, a rewarding celebration.

“May the innocence and promise of our children fill our homes and hearts with happiness and fond memories to cherish forever,” he added.
