THE Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora, have congratulated Gov. Seyi Makinde on his re-election in the just concluded governorship poll.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council of the institution, Rasheed Adeniji, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Wednesday.
The Chairman, Governing Council, Prof. Lateef Sanni and Rector, Prof. Akinola Akinlabi, described the governor’s re-election as a reciprocity of his commitment to the development and welfare of civil and public servants in the state.
“The governor’s victory at the poll was not unconnected with efforts at ameliorating the sufferings of the people in the state in which tertiary institutions were not left out.
“We are convinced that the governor’s second term will provide exceptional development that would transform tertiary institutions in the state as second to none among the comity of institutions in the country,” they said.
The authorities called on the governor not to renege on his developmental programmes for the state, but resolve to increase performance in the delivery of good works to all constituents in the state.
They prayed God to grant the governor good health, greater wisdom and strength in the discharge of his responsibilities to the state and the people in general. (NAN)
