Palliative: Jigawa govt distributes food items to16,000 vulnerable persons

THE Jigawa government has distributed food items to 16,000 less privileged persons in Malammadori Local Government Area of the state.

The Information Officer of the Council, Alhaji Musa Muhammad, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Saturday in Dutse.

He said the items were distributed to the beneficiaries under the second phase of the exercise supervised by Hajiya Hadiza Abdulwahab, State Chairman of the Palliative Distribution Committee.

He listed the items distributed to include rice, maize and pasta, adding the gesture was to cushion cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal.

Muhammad lauded Gov. Umar Namadi for the provision of palliative to thousands of beneficiaries across the state.

NAN reports that Namadi has inaugurated disbursement of N1.089 billion Conditional Cash Transfer and distribution of food items to the vulnerable persons under the second phase of the Federal Government’s palliative. (NAN)
