Maurice Iwu Loses Mother, Family announces Burial Date

NNEOMA Eunice Nkwoada Iwu, mother of Prof. Maurice Iwu, former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, has died. She was 88 years old.

Before her transition to eternal glory Nneoma Iwu was a devout Catholic, who lived a peaceful, joyous and fulfilled Christian Life.

A statement signed by Prof. Iwu, on behalf of the family, announced that the Vigil Mass and Christian wake for Nneoma would be on Thursday, March 15, by 5pm at the St. Micheal’s Catholic Church, Umuezala, Umukabia, Ehime-Mbano local government area, Imo State.  The funeral Mass takes place on Friday, March 16, at 10am at the same venue while internment follows immediately after at the Iwu’s family compound.

According to the statement, sympathisers, who would like to send any condolence messages, should email them to iwufamily1@gmail.com before Wednesday, February 26.

Nneoma Iwu is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
