Patience Jonathan, Others at Dino Melaye's Book Launch

PRESIDENT of the Senate, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, former First Lady, Dr. Dame Patience Jonathan and other political juggernauts, have have stormed the Abuja venue of  the  launch of Senator Dino Melaye book.

The book, titled ‘Antidotes for Corruption’, which is divided into 14 chapters with 600 pages, was presented at the Umaru Ya’Adua Centre, Abuja, where the roll call of who-is-who  in Nigerian politics was being taken.

Barely 30 minutes into the program, the former first lady,  Jonathan,  made a glamorous entrance into the arena, which led to a loud and resounding ovation that brought the event to a pause, for minutes.

In his opening remarks, former Speaker of the House of Representatives,. Umar Ghali Na’Abba said the book was timely as it would help in reorientation of the youths and leaders of the country on the dangers of corruption.

He said, “corruption is not Only about financial misappropriation, it is defined by social defiance and failure of leadership. Nepotism is also a corruption”.

The launch  of the book ‘Antidotes for Corruption’, a book  with a forward written  by Senator Bukola Saraki, also attracted the presence of deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Bello Mohammed, his Labour and Productivity counterpart, Chris Ngige and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim.

Others present include  Clerk of the National Assembly, Molori, serving and past members of the National Assembly, with Former President of Ghana, Jerry Rawlings and Chairman of Dangote Groups, Aliko Dangote, ably represented. – Newsdiaryonline
