SIR Paul Chukwuma, a frontline All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship aspirant, has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Grace, Archbishop Valerian Maduka Okeke, on the occasion of his 23rd episcopal anniversary.

In a message of appreciation and celebration, Sir Paul praised Archbishop Okeke for his steadfast dedication to the spiritual, educational, and social well-being of the people of the Onitsha Archdiocese and beyond.

“Your Grace, your 23 years of selfless service as Archbishop stand as a testament to your unwavering commitment to God and humanity. Your leadership, vision, and compassion have transformed countless lives and brought immeasurable blessings to our community,” Paul said.

Archbishop Okeke, consecrated on February 9, 2002, has made remarkable strides in his ministry. Born in Umudioka, Anambra State, he was ordained a priest on July 11, 1981, by Cardinal Francis Arinze.

Over the years, his ecclesiastical journey has been marked by significant achievements, including overseeing the growth of parishes in the Onitsha Archdiocese from 70 to 183 and spearheading the reconstruction of mission schools in Anambra State after their return to the Church.

Through initiatives like the Archbishop Valerian Okeke Foundation (AVOF), he has championed youth empowerment and international goodwill. His dedication to prison ministry, with regular visits to inmates in Onitsha prisons, earned him the prestigious title of Grand Patron of Nigerian Correctional Services.

Chukwuma also highlighted the Archbishop’s role in education reform, noting his introduction of holistic policies that have placed mission schools at the forefront of academic excellence.

“Your Grace, your efforts have restored the dignity and standard of education in our mission schools, ensuring that future generations are equipped not only with knowledge but with strong moral values,” Sir Paul added.

Reflecting on the Archbishop’s message to the faithful, Sir Paul joined in prayers of thanksgiving for the grace of God in Archbishop Okeke’s life and ministry. “We thank God for the gift of your episcopacy and pray for your continued strength, health, and wisdom as you lead the Church. May the Lord grant your prayers for the physical and spiritual well-being of all you serve,” Sir Paul said.

“As the faithful of the Onitsha Archdiocese celebrate this milestone, Archbishop Valerian Maduka Okeke’s leadership’s impact remains a source of inspiration and gratitude for many across Anambra State and beyond”, he concluded.
