THE Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) in Nasarawa, says it is working hard to complement police efforts in promoting peace in the state.

Its Chairman, Mr David Abuluya, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Akwanga on Thursday.

He said the importance of peace to human and societal development could not over-emphasised, hence the need for all hands to be on deck in promoting peace.

Abuluya, who is the Proprietor, Nacabs Polytechnic, Akwanga, expressed readiness to continue to work with the police for the promotion of peace in the state.

He added that effective partnership with the police would not only promote unity and peace but also fasttrack speedy development of the state.

According to him, the committee will continue to synergise with the police to promote unity and peace, adding that, “peace is sine qua non to development, peace is priceless and non-negotiable”.

While reiterating commitment to providing intelligence to the police, Abuluya urged Nigerians to support the police to enable it to prevent crimes and foster peace.

“This will help in promoting peace and unity in Nasarawa and the country at large”. (NAN))
