Peak Sports Supports Hoops and Read Team

AHEAD of the 2017 Nigeria Professional Basketball League, new entrants into the league, Hoops and Read Basketball Club owned by Olumide Oyedeji, former national men’s team (D’Tigers’) Captain, has secured the sponsorship of Peak Sports.

The former NBA star disclosed this while analysing his expectation from his players in their very first outing in the league stating that the support given to his team by Peak Sports will go a long way in motivating the players to give their best.

Oyedeji, who donned Ebun Comets Basketball colours in the domestic league before moving to the United States of America to further his professional career, said his players have played series of friendly games during their preparations and are now ready for the commencement of the season.

The sponsorship, according to Oyedeji, includes kits and other logistics that will motivate the players to display the talents in them during the league. During their preparations for the new season, the players were made to train at the University of Lagos and Rowe Park Complex in Lagos.

“The entire team is very happy that we have a very reliable company in Peak Sports sponsoring us. I will say we are the first to do this even if we are still a new team in the league”, says Oyedeji

“This sponsorship will definitely motivate the players to give their best. Our objective is to combine education with sports and I can assure you that we are coming up with something different,” he said, adding that the men’s league is expected to commence on April 13, with the first game scheduled for Lagos.
