RECENTLY, the airwaves have been filled with the contrived frenzy of preparations for the inauguration of _‘president-elect’_ , Senator Bola Tinubu and his VP, Kassim Shettima. The out-going government has directly endorsed the electoral fraud of February 25 with their frantic handover preparations to the disappointment of well-meaning Nigerians. But there are no surprises here. It is part of the mind game by the old order who want the status quo to remain at all cost in order to continue to service their greed and other selfish agenda.

We have also heard complimentary remarks and even visits from some international collaborators whose interests in Nigeria are purely self-serving. No wonder our delectable Chimamanda Adichie called out their hypocrisy in her recent well-worded letter to USA president. *_‘Why would the US which prioritizes the rule of law endorse a president-elect who has emerged from an unlawful process?’_* She queried. _*‘Congratulating its outcome…tarnishes America’s self-proclaimed commitment to democracy’.*_ It could not have been put better.

They believe Nigerians would soon forget about this electoral heist and move on. They believe that HE Peter Obi would be so intimidated to abandon the petition at the PEPT and perhaps _‘join the train’_ . But unfortunately for them, none of these is happening. In the meantime, some people are already carried away about the _’inauguration’_ but majority of Nigerians who truly desire change, cannot be bamboozled by the whole illusion. The Presidential Election petition is very much alive and in due time, the TRUE winner of the election shall be declared. It is only a matter of time.
