ANAMBRA State Government has warned all owners of illegal structures in Awka and environs to dismantle them immediately or face demolition of such structures.

Ngozi Atisele, the general manager, Anambra State Physical Planning Board, gave the warning during demolition exercise in Awka.

She said government would deal decisively with anybody or group of persons flouting the directive.

Atisele noted that owners of certain structures considered to have been badly sited had never approached the Physical Planning Board for approval before erecting them.

According to her citing structures under high tension lines are illegal.

She cautioned that it was against physical planning laws to erect structures under such high tension wires.

Atisele enjoined developers to always obtain approval from the physical planning board before embarking on any form of development in any part of the state.
