The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State, Chief Letep Dabang, on Sunday revalidated his membership of the party, saying the party remained the most formidable in the country.

Dabang re-validated his membership of the party alongside his wife, Joanne, at Jing Ward of Pankshin Local Government Area of the state.

The chairman, who made the remark shortly after the exercise, also said that APC had left its doors open to genuine members and admirers to join.

He said that the gigantic gains recorded by the party would be sustained for the future of Nigeria and Plateau through purposeful governance.

He called on the people to keep faith with the party by registering as new members or re-validating their membership, assuring them that they would have no regrets joining the party.

“We will continue to stand by the principles of equity and equality in the affairs of the APC, and as such, we welcome new members into our fold.

“I have seen this crowd and it has shown that there is no any other party that exists here.

“Even the opposition are admiring what we are doing because this exercise shows sincerity in our party,” Dabang said.

The Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Abok Ayuba, his Deputy, Shehu Yipmong, the Majority Leader, Na’anlong Daniel and other principal officers and members of the House, all witnessed the exercise.

Ayuba, in a brief remark, praised the leadership qualities of Dabang, describing him as a stabilising factor that successfully ensured discipline and commitment in the party in the state.

He assured the chairman of the support of the state lawmakers as he continued to steer the affairs of the party.

Executive Chairman of Pankshin Local Government Council, Sir John Damap, and the APC Caretaker Committee Chairman for Pankshin local government area, Mr Timothy Yilmukwa, were also present at the occasion.

Damap also commended the leadership qualities of Dabang and assured him of their unalloyed support in moving the party forward. (NAN)
