Plateau Polytechnic’s attack: Abducted Champlain’s son regains freedom

BARELY twenty-four hours after he was kidnapped by gunmen, Kim Dido, the son of the Plateau State Polytechnic Chaplain, Reverend Andrew Dido, has regained his freedom.

Kim, who is twelve years old was abducted on Wednesday night by gunmen who invaded their home at the institution’s staff quarters in Heipang, Barki Ladi Council of the state.

Our Correspondent gathered that the Reverend’s son was released on Thursday night by his abductors and has since been with members of his family.

Plateau State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr Bulus Bot, confirmed Kim’s release to the PUNCH in Jos on Friday,

The Commissioner said, ” I can confirm to you that the boy has been released by his abductors. I have just visited their house at the Polytechnic’s staff quarters and the father told me that they were in the room at night when they heard a knock on their door. When the door was opened, they discovered it was the boy knocking.” – Punch
